Platforms

A coin can allow only some of these, or block some of them. Gated’s contract can’t see which app someone clicked in, only the transaction that reaches the chain. So each platform is recognised by something in its transactions. Some of those can’t be faked; some can. How checking works

Can people who aren’t on the platform still trade a coin that allows only it?

Airtight

No.

The platform signs each trade with a key only it has. Other apps and bots can’t produce that signature.

Route-checked

Yes, bots that use its program.

The check is “did this trade go through the platform’s on-chain program?”. Anyone can call that program directly.

Block only

It can only be blocked.

All its trades share is a fee payment, and anyone can pay a fee. Enough to refuse its trades, not to admit them.

Want it airtight? Turn on Airtight when you create a coin: only platform-signed trades count, so the coin can only be traded through the platforms you picked. Nothing else gets in. Every coin, airtight or not, can’t be moved into outside pools while it’s on its curve, and keeps launch protection and copycat protection.

Run a trading platform?

Gated coins are ordinary Meteora pools, so you can already route to them. Sign your users’ trades with a key you control and coins that allow only you can be traded only through you.
